(Ortho-K) Lenses
Orthokeratology is a myopia management method that uses specially designed rigid gas-permeable contact lenses worn during sleep. Commonly known as Ortho-K or overnight corneal reshaping lenses, they temporarily and reversibly reshape the surface of the cornea, helping provide clear vision during the day without the need to wear glasses or daytime contact lenses.
In addition to correcting vision, the optical designs of Ortho-K lenses may help slow eye elongation and myopia progression in many children. This option requires precise corneal measurements, specialist fitting, strict adherence to lens-cleaning instructions, and regular follow-up appointments.
